In 2010, Mrs. Middestadt began her nursing career at Mercy Medical Center and was the recipient of 2011 McAuley Gold Award as part of Mercy’s Excellence in Action Program. In 2021, Mrs. Middlestadt began working in the Forensic Nursing Department and became an FNE-A. In 2022, she joined the VOCA team. Mrs. Middlestadt cares for patients who have experienced sexual assault, interpersonal violence, strangulation, human trafficking and stranger violence. She is the Chair of the Social Media and Events Planning Committee. Mrs. Middlestadt is also an active member of the Education Committee, Human Trafficking Committee, Baltimore City Human Trafficking Collaborative and Baltimore City Human Trafficking Medical Subcommittee.
